Dr. Christine Lynn
President

Dr. Christine Lynn serves as President of the Rowan Chamber of Commerce. She is an accomplished higher education executive, workforce strategist, and community leader with nearly two decades of experience connecting talent, employers, education, and economic opportunity. Before joining the Chamber, she served as Associate Dean for the Ketner School of Business at Catawba College.
Since moving to Rowan County, Christine has been actively involved with the Chamber, previously serving as Chair-Elect and earning recognition as the Paul E. Fisher Volunteer of the Year and top Total Resource Campaign volunteer.
Originally from Upper Arlington, Ohio, Christine enjoys golfing, hiking, cooking, exploring North Carolina, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes. She is also an avid foodie and treasure hunter who loves discovering local restaurants, estate sales, antique markets and vintage finds throughout Rowan County.
Carol Lewis
Vice President of Finance & Operations

Carol Lewis is the Vice President of Finance & Operations at the Chamber. She previously served as the Interim CFO/Director of Business Services at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and Customer Service Manager for the City of Salisbury.
She serves as Treasurer on the Executive Board of the Rowan County Literacy Council, is a Board Member of Communities In Schools of Rowan County, and serves on the Member Advisory Committee for Self-Help Credit Union
Lewis earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Science in Management degree from National-Louis University in Chicago, along with a Certificate in Travel and Hospitality from The Pittsburgh Institute of Technology.
She is married to Dr. Orlando W. Lewis, VP of Student Affairs at Livingstone College. They have three adult children, two grandchildren and love to spend time with family and travel in their free time.
Sydney Trexler Murphy

Sydney Murphy serves as the Rowan Chamber’s Member Services and Marketing Manager, where she helps connect members, share the stories of Rowan County’s business community, and bring Chamber programs and events to life. She also leads Leadership Rowan, working closely with participants as they build relationships and deepen their understanding of the community.
A Rowan County native, Sydney graduated with distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the Hussman School of Journalism and Media.
Sydney and her husband, Jake, are proud to call Rowan County home. They have two very loved Labrador Retrievers, Wren and Birdie.
Tina Jamison-Cowan

Tina Jamison-Cowan is the Administrative Assistant at the Chamber. Formerly, she has worked as a property manager and has extensive experience with several banks in the Rowan area. In her spare time, Tina enjoys cooking and shopping. Tina and her husband, Howard, have two lovely daughters and live in Salisbury.
