Rowan Chamber Names Bryan Overcash 2026 Chair-Elect and 2027 Chair of the Board

The Rowan Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Bryan Overcash, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Global Contact Services, has been named chair-elect of its Board of Directors. Overcash will succeed current Board Chair Starling Johnson Kaklamanos and begin his term as chair in January 2027.

“Bryan brings a depth of servant leadership, a strong understanding of strategy, operations and finance, and, most importantly, tremendous character. He cares deeply about Rowan County and has demonstrated that commitment through years of service to our community. I am excited about the perspective, experience and leadership he will bring to the Chamber as we look toward our future,” said Dr. Christine M. Lynn, president of the Rowan Chamber of Commerce.

A Rowan County native, Overcash co-founded Salisbury-based Global Contact Services with Greg Alcorn in 2001. The company provides call center management and consulting services to government agencies and Fortune 500 companies across the country.

Overcash grew up in China Grove, and his wife is from Landis. After living briefly in Charlotte and Kannapolis, the couple returned to Rowan County nearly 30 years ago and raised their three children here. For Overcash, serving as chair is an opportunity to help shape the future of the community his family calls home.

“My wife and I want all of Rowan County to thrive now and for generations to come,” Overcash said. “We want it to be a place where our children and their children want to live, learn, work, worship, and play. I have always been a big believer that a strong Chamber is a vital part of any community. When asked to help lead the Chamber board during this exciting time in its history, I was, and am, both honored and excited about the opportunity.”

As chair, Overcash will help guide the Chamber’s strategic direction, drawing on both his business experience and his longstanding involvement in Rowan County.

He points to programs such as the Annual Gala, Dragon Boat Festival, Leadership Rowan, and Power in Partnership breakfasts as examples of the Chamber’s visible impact. Just as important, he said, is the advocacy work that often happens behind the scenes.

“One of the things I value most about the Chamber is not as visible to many in our community, and that’s the advocacy work that Chamber representatives do. Through both formal trips to Raleigh and DC, as well as countless informal conversations and coordination with local, state,  and federal officials, our Chamber advocates tirelessly on behalf of Rowan County and all of its municipalities,” said Overcash.

Overcash currently serves on the boards of Rowan Growth Partners for Economic Development, First Baptist Church of Salisbury, and Young Life of Rowan County. He is a past chair of the Rowan Economic Development Commission, Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation, and Salisbury-Rowan Community Foundation. He has also served on the boards of Salisbury Academy, the Country Club of Salisbury, and Graystone Day School.
