“Ladies Night Out” to Celebrate Breast Cancer Survivors and Local Businesses

Every breast cancer survivor has a story. At this year’s Ladies Night Out, three women from our community will have the chance to share theirs.

Join the Rowan Chamber of Commerce, Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, and Greystone Salon & Spa on Thursday, October 8, at the F&M Trolley Barn for an evening that brings women together to shop local, connect with friends, and support breast health awareness.

At the heart of the event is a special celebration of three local breast cancer survivors, who will take the runway and share their experiences with guests. Before the presentation, each survivor will receive a makeover from Greystone Salon & Spa and an outfit donated by Anna Craig Boutique, Caniche, or Oxford + Lee. Their walk down the runway is an opportunity for the community to celebrate each woman and hear her story in her own words.

Guests can also shop from approximately 20 women-owned and women-focused businesses while enjoying food, wine, and chocolate. Breast health information and community resources will be available throughout the evening.

This year’s Ladies Night Out has a new twist in honor of the late Dolly Parton. Attendees are encouraged to “Dress Like Dolly” and enter a look-alike contest for a chance to win prizes.

The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the F&M Trolley Barn, located at 125 E. Liberty St. in Salisbury. Admission is free for Rowan Chamber members. Nonmembers are asked to make a $5 donation at the door, with all proceeds benefiting the Breast Health Fund through the Novant Health Foundation.
