Rowan Chamber Now Accepting Applications for 34th Leadership Rowan Class

April 6, 2026

The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2026-27 Leadership Rowan Class. For 33 years, Leadership Rowan has been shaping the future of our community by equipping influential leaders with the knowledge, connections, and passion to drive positive change.

“We are extremely proud of the history and success of Leadership Rowan, with over 800 graduates of the program. It’s a powerful program that equips leaders with the tools, connections, and passion to help move our community forward,” said Nick Means of F&M Bank and Leadership Rowan Steering Committee Chairman.

A transformative experience for both participants and the organizations they serve, Leadership Rowan offers a deep dive into the key sectors that shape our community, including government, education, business, human needs, and the arts. Class members commit one day a month to exploring the community and discovering what makes it unique. Throughout the nine-month program, participants go on exclusive tours and have hands-on experiences, all with area leaders who take on our community’s biggest challenges every day.

Armed with new knowledge, connections, and perspective, Leadership Rowan graduates are prepared to be even better stewards of our community.

Each year, only 30 participants are selected for this experience, ensuring a diverse class that reflects the community. Applications are open now through noon on May 22, 2026, with the program running from August 2026 to May 2027.
