Women In Business

    Women In Business (WIB) is a networking event  that enables you to 'showcase' your business products and services.  The program is designed to empower and inspire women business professionals through inspirational messages, mixers and networking opportunities.

    REQUIREMENTSEvents may be sponsored by Chamber members in good standing for a sponsorship fee of $300. Adequate space and parking for your guests is critical to the success of WIB. Please place directional signs for parking or have parking attendants.

    DATE & TIME: Women In Business evening events are held T or TH, from 5-7 pm.  Educational “Lunch and Learn events” are 12 noon until 1 pm. Forums are held T, W, or TH noon- 3 p.m.

    INVITATIONS: The Chamber of Commerce will invite members via broadcast email and
    Chamber e-news. Expect an average attendance of 60-80 for evening events. Luncheon events attendance can bring in as many as 70. Attendance will depend on the topic’s popularity.  You are encouraged to invite your employees, customers, clients, friends and family.     There is a $20 Chamber charge for nonmembers, members are free (Chamber representatives will handle the collection.)

    SPONSORSHIP: The cost for food and beverages is up to you. Sponsorship fee is $300.  You will receive an invoice payable 60 days in advance of event.

    'Lunch & Learn' Sponsors have total speaking rights. The event should start promptly at noon with lunch, speaking time and networking.

    ‘Forum’ Sponsors have total speaking rights (Panels, workshops, seminars, various 30-40 minute speakers) with lunch, speaking time and networking.

    You also have full advertising rights and can hand out information, place banners, etc. Your logo will be placed on email invitations. Facility tours are encouraged.   

    WHAT TO SERVE: It’s your party! Normally the evening host serves heavy hors d'oeuvres, sweet tea, non-sweet tea and water. Wine can be served in the evening. Luncheons can be buffet, sit down or boxed. Only Chamber members may be used for *catering and *beverages.

    NAMETAGS: We will provide nametags and will be glad to assist in greeting guests.  Several company representatives at or near the entrance as well as a table for nametags is recommended.  We will arrive about 15 minutes early. A 50/50 drawing for the Chamber will occur at random events.


    DOOR PRIZES: Giveaways of at least $25 in value are recommended. Chamber representatives will greet persons as they enter the event and collect their business cards.  The drawing should be at the end of the event and winners need to be present to win. The business card entries will be given to the sponsor.

    Tip: be sure to ask what paper items/utensils/ice your Caterer will provide.....you may need to supplement paper products.
